I don't know if I'm getting old and grumpy or what,but last night I went Tescos to get a few bits and when I was heading back to my car I heard the screeching of tyres and roaring of engines.
I stopped and watched in amazement as 2 hot hatches tore across the car park between all the parked cars at a very high speed and obviously not in complete control narrowly missing the cars and several shoppers.
They then cut across the outer parking bays the wrong way and out onto the main road and round the mini-roundabout causes three cars to swerve and brake to avoid being crashed into.
Now this happened not in some inner city or even large town but in sleepy old Norfolk in the lovely market town of Diss where I have lived for the last 25 years happy in the belief that I and my wife and 2 children were safe from this kind of mindless behavior.
I do fel sorry for the teenagers here as there isn't a lot for them to do , but how can you defend the vast majority who are really nice people and get a lot of undeserved bad press because of the few who don't care how they behave or think about the dire consequences of their reckless actions.
Well am just an old grumpy git or someone who wished=s that the youngsters will wise up before they either themselves or worse somebody else.

What do you think has happened to maddie mcCann? Lots of my friends have different views on this subject but to be honest without any evidence what can anyone think. Imagine if you were the parents and totally innocent, how would you feel being accused of all sorts because no evidence leading to anyone else. What if you were guilty but it was an accident, what would you do to cover this up and how far would you go. Having children myself I along with lots of others can't get passed the fact that the children were left alone in the first place, what if one of them had got up feeling ill whilst the parents were out eating and drinking with friends. However, this doesn't mean that they are guilty of what, afterall maddie isn't proved dead, just missing. I chose to believe the parent innocent until proven guilty (what the British legal system is all based upon). Without a body or knowing where Maddie is what else should we think. It is easy to blame, if the parents are innocent there isn't any amount of punishment going that will punish them as much as they will themselves probably for the rest of their lives. What about Maddie. Forget the parents, forget everyone else just think of her and if you believe in a God say a prayer for her for certainly at nearly 4 years of age she is the true innocent in all of this.

I think it's a brilliant idea that it's now illegal to smoke whist driving a car.

It's about time the Government had the the courage to do some thing about this.
People were liable to get nicked for eating an apple at the wheel for sometime so why not
for smoking.
As an ex smoker I know how easy it is to drop your lighted fag on your lap and how hard it is
to retrieve it whist driving and keeping in a straight line.
Add to that the number of people who actually roll a fag whist driving!Now how dangerous is that?
So congratulations to whomever thought this one , you may just save some innocents life not to speak of the good it will do for lorry drivers etc. to have to lay off the fags for long periods of the day.javascript:showHide

Matt my son is 17 years old now and has just got his provitional driving license.

I have given him my little red Corsa and taxed,m.o.t. it and insured it for him.

Now after tea every night we go out and practice his driving.
He's actually quite good already although he is a little quick coming up to junctions and roundabouts.

How time flies !!

It only seems like yesterday that he had his first little bike and we took off the stabilizers and I would run along behind him holding the back of his saddle until he got enough speed
up to keep in a straight line and stop wobbling around long enough to keep upright for a while

Today I had a swelling come up on the roof of my mouth which was quite painful.
I started doing the rinse around with salt water to try to stop it getting any worse and this
seems to have worked.

However being a bit worried that it might get worse I rang my helth centre and asked if |i could see a doctor thinking I may need anti-biotics to be told tghere was no chance today and if I rang tommorrow at 8.30 a.m. I should be able to be seen sometime that day.

All I can say is it's a good job the salt water thing worked ,otherwise I would be stuck with a painful mouth for 24 + hours while I waited to see one of the many doctors at my health center that my taxes help to finance their B.M.W. s and 2 Mercs. and also a Jag and a Rangerover.

Something wrong here somewhere I think ?

Why is it that you don't see Tom & Jerry any more?

I used to love watching this with my children when they were little.
Alright sometimes it was a little racist with Tom's owner as a large west indian lady
but lets be honest it was never really malicious was it ?

Also what happened to Foghorn Legghorn ? Gotta have been the coolest roosta ever.
Do you remember the chicken hawk that was always after him and the old spinster chicken that loved .

Can anyone tell me why cats always take a dump in somebody else garden ?

That ginger bugger next is always crapping in my flower pots would you believe .

I caught him yesterday and scared him off, but he was back again today hunkering down
as if he owned the place.

I mean what is it with these things ?

If I was all settled down for a crap and some nutter came shouting and hollering at me I'm
bloody sure I wouldn't dropping my hairy little ass there again in a hurry !!
